Job Title: Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst
Primary objective of the job:
The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for collaborating with the various business lines, understanding commercial and other business needs. Accurately and timely, collect, generate, and manipulate key business reporting data/dashboards to meet standard and ad hoc requests whilst maintaining the highest level of integrity of such data in support of the company’s financial and commercial charter.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand the needs of the Customers of the BI Department, help define their questions and satisfy the data needed to support strategic and tactical decision making.
- Work closely with MIS and Data Warehouse Engineers to ensure data comes across accurately and timely.
- Analysis of customer base movements.
- Produce segmented revenue & customer analysis reports.
- Develop further reports to improve the understanding of customer behavior. Refine reports and ensure timeliness and accuracy of information.
- Perform trending and critical analysis to highlight issues and draw conclusions as to the causes.
- Develop BI strategies and procedures to maintain ongoing data integrity.
- Develop dashboards.
- Produce periodic reports as defined by the senior management team to include daily, weekly, monthly and management reports.
- Research and analyze quantitative data to support the senior management team.
- Capture the value of “Big data” through data mining understanding and procedures.
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree AND related certification OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- SQL OR Python experience
- 3-5 years of experience performing similar role/duties
- Experience in and with the mobile telecommunications sector would be considered a valuable asset.
- An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
