The Senior BDU represents Beacon at our major clients and is the single/first point of contact for the customer representing all aspects of Beacon within the customer base.
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
To Develop Business from the Broking Community through development of relationships and marketing of Beacon’s products with Brokers, Account Executives and Account Managers.
Bind coverage for quotations provided and accept New Business for all classes of insurance.
To sign Broker slips in keeping with The Beacon’s guidelines and provided Limits of Authority.
Provide immediate Proof of Cover as may be required.
To Provide technical advice to Brokers or Customers when necessary.
To deliver all Policy and other Documents to Brokers
To conduct risk surveys as required.
To manage the collection of premiums (receivables) for all business (new and renewal) for which you are responsible.
To meet and exceed clear performance targets across assigned Broker and customer base.
Continuously working to ensure a consistent approach to growing Beacon’s Customer base.
Lead the Broker Business Development activities in the achievement of business targets inclusive of setting activity and revenue targets for individuals.
Plan and execute new customer and customer retention strategies.
Monthly reporting on all agreed KPI’s including daily target achievements compared to assigned targets.
To prepare monthly reports on Production metrics for the Divisional Manager and VP Sales and Business Development.
Prepare monthly scorecard for Customers/Brokers of the Unit as required.
Provide briefs to the claims department on the claimant and the respective risk(s).
People Management Manage time and attendance of staff members
Conduct Performance evaluations
Set and monitor the achievement of SMART goals and initiatives within the Division
Conduct coaching and mentoring for team members
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree in Business Management, Business Administration or related field.
