To provide support for Security operations and administration, through active oversight at the different NIBTT’s locations.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENEC REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Management, Security Management/Administration/Criminal Justice 
  • Certification in Video Surveillance/CCTV 
  • Certification/ Training in Investigations and Health and Safety will be an asset 
  • Two (2) years’ experience in law enforcement or security field including one (1) year supervisory management experience 

Any suitable combination of qualifications and experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. To assist in coordinating and implementing security related activities such as: physical property; monitor systems response; monitor personnel working in high risk areas; and investigation of accidents and criminal acts. 
  1. To assist in providing oversight in the implementation of video surveillance systems. 
  1. Operate the Public Address (PA) system to issue clear and timely announcements during emergency situations—including evacuations, fire alarms, security incidents, and as for other critical notifications such as safety alerts, and crowd-management instructions 
  1. To assist with the implementation of security procedures in compliance with NIBTT’s policies and procedures and applicable legislation. 
  1. To ensure safety alarms/panic buttons e.t.c. are fully functional. 
  1. To record and submit reports received from security contractors regarding investigations of reports of criminal activities. 
  1. To assist in the implementation of safety and loss prevention procedures. 
  1. To assist with the implementation of the Cash in Transit (C.I.T) Schedule. 
  1. To assist in implementation of Security policies/procedures. 
  1. To assist in investigating, documenting and reporting on Security issues/breaches. 
  1. To liaise with Security Officers at different locations. 

 

  1. Willingness to work outside normal working hours and on public holidays. 

 

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of staff. 

  • Ability to write detailed reports and ad hoc reports  

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers  

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. 

  • Ability to execute departmental policies and procedures regarding security and safety.  

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or regulations relevant to security 

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of this position.
