Job 1 - Food Service Sales Representative
Job Summary:
The Food Service Sales Representative is responsible for developing, expanding, and driving growth within the food service channel, including restaurants, hotels, cafés, caterers, and institutional clients. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building strong partnerships, increasing product penetration, and establishing the company as a preferred supplier within the channel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of food service accounts (restaurants, cafés, hotels, etc.)
- Conduct regular customer visits to maintain relationships and drive sales
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the food service sector
- Promote and sell products aligned with customer menus and operations
- Provide product recommendations, samples, and usage ideas to chefs and buyers
- Ensure consistent product availability and coordinate with logistics for timely delivery
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and promotional support where applicable
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends
- Process orders accurately and follow through to fulfillment
- Support customers with menu development ideas and cost-effective solutions
- Track and collect payments in accordance with company policies
- Maintain accurate records of visits, sales, and customer interactions
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 CXC subjects (including Math & English)
- Experience in sales, food service, or FMCG distribution preferred
- Knowledge of the food service industry is a strong asset
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Basic computer literacy
