Our client is a niche player in the Food & Beverages Distribution sector in Barbados who specialize in promoting products sourced from Europe. They are seeking to add a professional to the team to assist with acquiring new clients and maintaining existing relationships.

Overview: Our client is a niche player in the Food & Beverages Distribution sector in Barbados who specialize in promoting products sourced from Europe. With a strong track record of placing brands at Retail outlets they are seeking to add a professional to the team to assist with acquiring new clients and maintaining existing relationships.



Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure a smooth sales process by determining what products/services are required and creating solutions for the customer. Also, working to find new sales leads through business directories, client referrals, telemarketing and field sales calls, while maintaining existing customer relationships and managing quality and consistency of product and services delivery.
  • Assist in delivering exceptional service standards and to maintain a high satisfaction rating for customers in accordance with individual and company set KPIs and goals.  
  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands customer base and extends regional reach.
  • Make sales appointments to present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Track sales goals, targets & other KPIs and reporting results as necessary.
  • Answer or return phone calls from clients & Answering e-mail inquiries.
  • Adjust the content of sales presentations by studying the type of customer.
  • Use Pipedrive software to record & follow up on new leads and referrals from field activity.
  • Prepare proposals and sales contracts or passing these on to your Sales Support to complete.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops etc. as required by management.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
  • Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
  • Follow up with each customer after sales have been completed.
  • Follow up to ensure customers make payments for goods/services provided.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events as required by management.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven Sales experience in FMCG sector.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Time Management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities.
  • Team management skills demonstrated to a high level.
  • Accuracy and precision.
  • Developed customer service skills.
  • An ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Clean driving license and own a reliable vehicle.
  • Understanding of CRM and ERP software.
