Our client is the leading supplier of premium construction/home – protection products. Due to growth, they are seeking to employ a confident Sales Representative.

Overview: Our client is the leading supplier of premium construction/home – protection products which include Concrete Reinforcement, Roofing Products, Hurricane Shutters, Non-Structural Mesh and Fencing. Due to growth, they are seeking to employ a confident Sales Representative in Barbados to target the residential/construction sector to introduce the products. This role is suited to people with proven “door-to-door” sales experience who is confident to engage with house owners and building contractors.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with homeowners and building contractors to introduce the products.
  • Receive orders via telephone, fax, e-mail, site visit or direct contact with the customer
  • Record orders in order book / relevant software and to print and distribute the relevant copies to the Production and Sales Departments. 
  • Liaise with the Production and Sales Departments to ensure prompt and efficient service is affected.
  • Collect and be responsible for all monies which are procured from your sales of products / services.
  • Visit customer sites, measure and cost roofs / windows / doorways etc. as required and provide prospective clients with written quotations. Quotations to be calculated using relevant software.
  • Organize and supervise installation jobs and provide a sketch of the job to installation crews.
  • Be on site at the start of the job to give directions and to introduce the client to the installers.
  • Check all jobs on a daily basis and ensure proper installation and on completion that the customers’ premises are clean and free of debris resulting from the installation.
  • Report on any quality issues / complaints / difficulties to the Sales or General Manager.
  • To attend daily morning meetings at the company’s office at the designated time or via conference call to keep informed of events, receive leads, and to arrange the installation schedule.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 CXCs and any additional business/technology or construction related studies.
  • Proven external “door – to door” sales experience essential.
  • Comfortable with heights (e.g. ascending/descending roofs).
  • Experience with MS-Office or Sales Administration software.
  • Own a reliable vehicle.
  • Willing to work flexible hours.
