Responsible for overseeing and selling AMBL’s repossessed portfolio, handling related admin and reporting, and processing transfers with CarMax and Licensing Agencies. Works closely with Collections and key stakeholders to ensure strong service standards and optimal performance.

Sales & Inventory Officer

Functional Assignment

Primarily responsible for effective oversight and sale of AMBL’s repossessed portfolio, and
associated administration and reporting. This includes processing transfers on behalf of the
Bank through collaboration with CarMax and Licensing Agencies. The role involves extensive
liaison with all members of the Collections department and associated stakeholders to ensure
exceptional internal and external service standards, and optimal collections performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the inventory at AMCO, CarMax and head office - in terms of stock counts & reports weekly, preparation of documentation /Memos for minor repairs/maintenance as required
  • Repossessed stock and repossessed sales reporting daily & monthly
  • Updating system with relevant codifications
  • Oversee all auction sales, and sales through other channels - at the direction of Collections Management. This includes coordinating site visits and being present for viewings, as required.
  • Review market and recommend pricing for stock
  • Oversee inventory maintenance /repairs to facilitate optimal pricing
  • Oversee the movement of inventory between locations
  • Oversee all vehicle transfers
  • Oversee all repossessed vehicle valuations and preparation of payments to vendors
  • Insurance administration for repossessed stock
  • Sundry duties assigned - Perform sundry duties that are assigned

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 5 O-Level /CSEC passes
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related discipline
  • Three years working experience of which at least two should be in the field of Collections
  • Sales or equivalent combination of qualification and experience

Business/Technical Skills Required

  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with particular emphasis on
  • Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Proficiency using information systems
  • Having access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s permit will be considered an asset
