Position Description:
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration for the company's portfolio of industrial products, including adhesives, sealants, chemicals, packaging solutions, and hardware. The role focuses on developing new business, growing existing customer accounts, achieving sales and collection targets, and increasing market share within the assigned territory. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships, identify customer needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and deliver exceptional service while achieving performance objectives.

- Drive sales growth and achieve assigned revenue targets.

Specific Responsibilities of the Job:
SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Achieve assigned sales, revenue, margin, and growth targets.
- Develop new business opportunities while growing existing customer accounts.
- Conduct customer visits, sales negotiations and follow up on quotations and sales opportunities.
- Expand market share through effective territory management and relationship building.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT & CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Maintain strong customer relationships to drive retention, satisfaction, and long-term growth.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling products and services.
- Address customer concerns promptly and coordinate solutions with internal departments.
- Provide product information, after-sales support, and ensure a high standard of customer service.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE & COLLECTIONS
- Monitor customer accounts and collect payments in accordance with company credit policies.
- Follow up on outstanding balances and work with the Accounts Department to resolve account issues.
- Support the achievement of accounts receivable and collection targets.
MARKET DEVELOPMENT & REPORTING
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
- Identify new opportunities and provide market feedback and recommendations to management.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales reports, forecasts, and territory analyses.
- Ensure timely follow-up on customer orders and inquiries.
MARKETING & TEAM COLLABORATION
- Attend and actively enage in sales meetings
- Participate in promotional activities, trade shows, customer events, and product launches.
- Represent the company professionally with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve departmental and company objectives.
JOB SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required
- Associate Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of successful sales experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, chemical, packaging, hardware, or B2B sales environments.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing customer accounts and developing new business opportunities.
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Management, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience selling industrial chemicals, adhesives, packaging products, or technical products.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and distribution sectors in Jamaica.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Own and operate a reliable motor vehicle.
- Possess a valid Jamaican Driver's Licence.
- Willingness and ability to travel island-wide on a regular basis.
- Availability to attend customer meetings, trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events as required.
- Ability to work flexible hours when business needs dictate.
- Ability to transport and present product samples and promotional materials when required.

Compensation
Compensation consists of a competitive base salary supplemented by a performance-based commission and incentive structure, along with any additional company-approved benefits.
Working Environment
- Primarily field-based position with regular travel throughout Jamaica.
- Combination of customer site visits, office work, and attendance at industry events.
- May require occasional overnight travel depending on territory requirements.
