The Sales Analyst acts as a strategic partner to our sales and marketing teams. In this role, you will be the bridge between raw data and actionable sales strategy.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analysis & Sales Strategy

  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for volume growth and gross profit margin optimization.
  • Monitor and analyze the sales trends, identifying gaps and recommending strategies to achieve targets.
  • Develop, maintain, and present regular sales performance dashboards reporting on key metrics, specifically tracking volume against gross profit.

 

Sales Representative Support & Enablement

  • Partner directly with Sales Representatives to provide account-specific insights that help them leverage existing relationships and create opportunities.
  • Partner with reps to plan territories, build accounts, and manage customer, ensuring their efforts are focused efficiently on the highest-grossing and most profitable opportunities.

 

Target Achievement & Conversion Optimization

  • Track individual and team progress against weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales volume and gross profit targets.
  • Identify at-risk accounts and work proactively with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies to regain and maintain profit share.
  • Analyze data to provide continuous feedback on pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to align lead generation efforts with sales strategies, ensuring marketing campaigns are producing market share and volume results.
  • Provide feedback to Marketing on quality, customer demographics, and campaign ROI based on actual sales conversions and profit data.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in FMCG sales
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
  • Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of the sales process, pricing mechanics, and profit margin analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable sales plays.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments (especially Sales and Marketing) and work with diverse personalities.
