The Safety Coordinator will provide effective professional occupational safety and health (OSH) support to all teammates, with the objective of strengthening and sustaining a culture where Safety is a core value and a condition of employment.

The Safety Coordinator will monitor regulatory compliance, analyze safety performance trends, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

    • Develop and update policies and procedures
    • Conduct safety audits in the plant and provide coaching and feedback to teammates and improvement for  work areas
    • Conduct safety training and participate in emergency response teams
    • Develop, implement, and manage the safety training programs and systems
    • Benchmark with other divisions on safety-related initiatives, projects, policies, and procedures
    • Proficient in Data Analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel (advanced), Power BI, or similar visualization and reporting platforms.
    • Ability to interpret trends, identify systemic risks, and translate data into practical, risk-based recommendations for leadership and operations
    • Maintain and administer the Safety Management System
    • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Risk Assessment and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs;)
    • Conduct and support audits and inspections; participate in and/or lead safety focus teams; and coordinate health and safety programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

    1. 5 years’ experience in a process industry environment
    2. Experience serving in a leadership/supervisory role
    3. NEBOSH level 3 diploma.

 Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with Safety Management Systems and standards ISO 45001
    • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
    • Formal training or certification in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and safety performance measurement (e.g., TapRooT®, ICAM, 5-Why, BowTie fundamentals)
    • OSHA train the trainer
