The Materials Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials and components needed for production.
The Materials Planner is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw materials, packaging, and ingredients to support 24/7 beverage manufacturing operations. This role operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and requires strong coordination with production, procurement, quality, and suppliers to manage frequent schedule changes, tight lead times, and inventory freshness.
Plan and manage raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials to support daily and weekly production schedules
Execute MRP planning in alignment with demand forecasts, promotions, and seasonal volume spikes
Ensure material availability for continuous production while minimizing downtime and line stoppages
Monitor inventory levels, shelf life, and expiry dates to reduce waste and obsolescence
Coordinate closely with procurement and suppliers to manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and short lead times
Respond quickly to production changes, urgent material requirements, and supply disruptions
Collaborate with Quality and Operations to ensure materials meet food safety and regulatory standards
Track supplier performance, lead time adherence, and material constraints
Maintain accurate planning data in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Support inventory counts, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
Experience in materials planning, supply planning, or production planning within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of MRP, inventory control, and production scheduling
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
Experience in beverage, food, or FMCG manufacturing
Knowledge of short shelf-life materials and packaging constraints
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-change production environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
