Job Title: Roaming Coordinator

Location: Kingston, Jamaica

 

General Summary:

The Roaming Coordinator is primarily responsible for facilitating the implementation of roaming services between Digicel markets and international roaming partners. The role concentrates on delivery of new services and maintaining existing relationships to enhance inbound and outbound roaming revenue.

The position will requires management of partners, vendors and internal Digicel teams ensure targets are achieved. The successful applicant will be an effective project manager with the ability to coordinate roaming testing activities between roaming partners and vendors.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the internal and external Service Implementation process, while maintaining control of the rollout of services in the Digicel Markets
  • Follow-up on status of roaming partners progress at all stages in the implementation process
  • Manage the sending and receiving of test documentation, TAP Completion Certificates, and assist with Test SIMs (both internally and externally)
  • Coordinate the launch of the commercial service with the roaming partner (CLL signature and launch notification)
  • Perform all administrative tasks related to management of the roaming department, IREG/TADIG testing, communication with vendor and/or roaming partners, internal departments, and revenue assurance
  • Assist IREG/TADIG team in trouble shooting & resolving any roaming related complaints when required, especially with regards to contacts within internal, vendor and roaming partner roaming teams
  • Provide regular updates on activities
  • Maintain familiarity with all GSM Association requirements keeping current with any new developments

 

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to proactively anticipate customer needs and make recommendations to meet those needs. 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Account management skills and experience preferred.
