This role is also an ideal starting point for recent graduates in social work, psychology, teaching, behavioural science and nursing to gain valuable and practical experience and to build their professional skills and confidence working with children and multidisciplinary teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children and young people
• Support residents’ emotional, social, and educational development
• Supervise, mentor, and guide children through daily routines, homework, and activities
• Collaborate with social workers, educators, and health professionals to advocate for each child’s best interests
• Maintain records, contribute to care plans, and ensure the highest standards of safety and care

Minimum Requirements:

• An undergraduate Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Teaching and Behavioural Science.

OR 

• CXC/GCE O’ Level passes, including English Language, with at least one year’s experience in residential childcare.  Certification in counselling, social work, psychology, behavioural science or a related field will be an asset.
