Company Overview

F.O.J Museum and Event Center is a new and ambitious startup located in Falmouth, Jamaica, designed to become a premier cultural, entertainment, and hospitality destination. We are currently building our founding leadership team and are seeking innovative, resourceful, and motivated professionals who are interested in forming long-term career relationships while helping to establish and grow a world-class organization from the ground up.

Successful candidates will not only be responsible for managing their respective departments but will also be responsible for building and leading their teams within each department. This is a foundational opportunity to shape operational systems, workplace culture, and service standards.

Band Manager 

F.O.J Museum and Event Center is seeking a Band Manager to organize, lead and coordinate the F.O.J Resident Band. The Band Manager will be responsible for ensuring the band operates professionally, rehearses regularly and delivers high-quality performances at F.O.J events.

The ideal candidate should have experience managing musicians, organizing rehearsals, coordinating performances and maintaining strong musical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate rehearsals and performance schedules for the F.O.J Resident Band

  • Manage communication between F.O.J management and band members

  • Help develop the band’s repertoire to support different types of events

  • Ensure the band is prepared for concerts, shows and guest performances

  • Maintain professionalism, punctuality and performance standards

  • Assist with arranging music and adapting performances for different events

  • Support the development of F.O.J’s live entertainment brand

Requirements

  • Experience managing or leading musical groups or bands

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Knowledge of live music performance and stage production

  • Ability to coordinate rehearsals and maintain performance standards

  • Passion for Jamaican music and live entertainment

  • Interest in building a long-term career relationship with the company

 Musicians- Band Members

F.O.J Museum and Event Center is recruiting talented musicians to join the F.O.J Resident Band, which will perform regularly at the venue and support various live entertainment events.

We are currently seeking musicians for the following positions:

  • DJ

  • Drummer

  • Bass Player

  • Keyboardist

  • Guitarist

  • Saxophonist

In addition, we are also interested in musicians who can play traditional Jamaican mento instruments, including:

  • Rhumba Box

  • Banjo

  • Other traditional mento instruments

Members of the F.O.J Resident Band will perform at a variety of events including concerts, cultural events and special performances. Musicians should be versatile and capable of performing across multiple genres of Jamaica Music including Reggae and traditional Jamaican Mento.

The band will play an important role in creating the live entertainment atmosphere at F.O.J, supporting guest artists and performing for audiences at various events hosted at the venue.

Possession of your own instruments is an asset but is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform live music at F.O.J events and entertainment shows

Requirements

  • Proven experience performing live music

  • Strong musical ability and instrument proficiency

  • Ability to perform multiple genres of music

  • Reliability, punctuality and professionalism

  • Willingness to rehearse and collaborate with other musicians

  • Interest in building a long-term career relationship with the company
