Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Insurance Operation Services - Business Development and Policy Services team in the capacity of:

Reinstatement Associate

(Grade 2)

Provide effective and efficient service to our clients through reinstating policies without and with evidence of insurability from internal and external clients.

Recommend/take corrective action when anomalies are identified to ensure client satisfaction and the achievement of the department’s goals and objectives (CAPSIL).

Accurately set up new groups with Health and life policies on the operation system (GIAS).

Location: Kingston

As a Reinstatement Associate, you will:

• Process reinstatement of policies with and without evidence of insurability via mail and Query Management System, from internal and external clients and response is sent confirming/declining reinstatement.
• Review policy record to ensure policy meets the criteria for reinstatement without form.
• Set up new groups on system.
• Process request for fund allocation in accordance with client’s request.
• Prepare and submit the monthly report to the Team Leader.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related discipline from a recognized institution.
• FLMI and ACS or other industry-related designation.
• Three (3) years working experience in an operations division of a life insurance company.
• Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
• Excellent human relations, time management and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
• Expert knowledge of insurance policies and processes.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
