Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Insurance Operation Services: Business Development & Policy Services team in the capacity of:
Business Development & Administration Assistant
(Grade 2)
Coordinate and monitor the activities associated with premium refunds, transfer of funds, write back of cheques and policy contract administration.
Process rejected applications, as well as queries relating to refund cheques and cancelled/not proceeded with (NPW) cases.
Location: Kingston
As a Business Development & Administration Assistant, you will:
- Prepare reimbursements to doctors/clients for medical services/fees related to the application process.
- Prepare and dispatch letters and/or cheques for “Not Proceeded With” cases received from the Pre-Underwriting Unit within the stipulated guidelines.
- Process refund payments and write back cheques.
- Respond to queries submitted by Advisors through the QMS portal.
- Verify and amend settled policies/policy contracts as required and ensure conformance to set procedures.
- Correct errors on settled files and policy contracts.
- Make amendments to policy contracts returned from branches.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports within established guidelines.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- A minimum of six (6) subjects at the CXC (General Proficiency) or GCE (Ordinary) level, including English Language and Mathematics.
- LOMA parts 1 and 2.
- Two (2) years working experience, one (1) year of which must be in the insurance industry.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Basic knowledge of life insurance operations.
- Effective communication (oral and written) skills.
- Good time management and human relations skills.
- Ability to type.
- Ability to work under pressure.
