The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving the development and performance of all Merchant and Wholesale accounts in the Jamaican market across airtime, Digital Products, Bill Payments and Lottery. Oversees Team Leads and Account Managers to ensure field productivity and quality.

Position-Regional Sales Manager 
Primarily responsible for the development and performance of all Merchant and Wholesale accounts in the Jamaica market, covering airtime (electronic and cards) transactions, Digital Products, Bill Payments, Lottery and other lines of businesses as the business requires. Responsible for directly overseeing Team
Leads and Account Managers to ensure the productivity and quality of work in the field. Ensuring that the market strategies of the business are executed effectively to achieve the objectives of the annual operating plan (AOP).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing and directing the Team Leads and Account Management team to achieve:
o The AOP targets
o Deliver on merchant SLAs as per partner contracts and internal guidelines
o Execute Strategic plans outlined by the Commercial Manager
● Effectively manage sales channels to retain merchant accounts and grow our market share
●Directly responsible for Group accounts
● Responsible for ensuring all merchants have adequate branding to drive awareness and improve revenue
●Use the systems and process in place to:
o Provide timely and accurate reporting
o Update and manage the client database
o Track and maintain devices deployed in the field
o Track and manage account executives to deliver on performance standards
● Conduct performance reviews of all direct reports, provide feedback and implement measures to improve performance
● Observe all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated to and implemented within the team.
● Support the credit and collections team in identifying and collecting payment from respective customers
● Rigidly adhere to cash management protocols, and assist team members as necessary in the event of unusual circumstance preventing such adherence.
● Ensure continuous monitoring of customers commission to ensure business margins are maintained.
● Any other related and reasonable tasks assigned by the business

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES
● Clearly define and communicate Sales objectives to all members of the department.
● Develop, maintain and continuously train team members on all procedures related to Effective Sales Management.
● Foster a performance driven work environment by developing and implementing performance standards to enhance the effectiveness of each employee.
● Development and enforce department SOPs for each work task/process.
● Manage staff KPIs and conduct in accordance with the Schedule of Offenses with the guidance of the HR Department to ensure set objectives are consistently met by the team.
● Prepare weekly/monthly report on the department’s operations based on set KPIs.
● Execute strategic plans for the department.
● Establish and enforce service delivery standards for each process
● Develop team programmes to support the organization’s business strategy.
● Provide a motivating work environment to support the team and other departments where necessary.
● Manage and direct team through sound personnel practices such as:
o Relevant and effective inductions
o Performance management, conduct performance assessments, probation and annual, within set deadlines.
o Identifying training needs: Assist in the training and development of staff by recommending training coursesandestablishing training schedules with the HR team.
o Coaching
o Administer discipline for breach of conduct and SOPs in accordance with company Schedule of Offences
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
Performance is effective when:
● AOP targets and KPI’s are achieved as per strategic plan of the company
● Go to market plans are successfully implemented in our sales channels; with the expected results being achieved
● Brand activities are executed to achieve targets of revenue generation and brand positioning
● High level of morale exist within the sales teams and effective communication is fostered among employees and between staff and management
● Timely feedback is provided to management regarding performance.
● Maintain good relationships with our partners and retain their business
● Periodic analysis of market trends to be conducted and timely advice provided to management regarding opportunities and threats within the market
● Sales Team demonstrate full compliance with company policies and processes and disciplinary action taken where breaches occur.
● The required tools are being used in the fields.
ACCOUNTABILITY
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible and accountable for:
● Sound sales plans developed and effectively implemented.
● Execution of the marketing plan at the merchant level
● Business risks are identified and solved.
● Objectives are set for all staff and performance appraisals submitted to the HR Department on time
● Sales, profitability and distribution targets are consistently achieved on a monthly basis.
● Effective relationships are maintained with stakeholders
● Reports are submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
● Active supervision of assigned staff with prompt corrective action and commendation taken as necessary.
● Measurable KPI’s are established for all Staff and ensures timely conduct of performance appraisals
for all staff.
● Customer Business Growth Plans are effectively developed and executed
● On-going coaching & training plans are implemented for the team
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
● Extensive experience in managing merchant relationships
● Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
● Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
● Excellent Time Management, Customer Service Skills and analytical skills
● Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office
● Ability to use at least one recognized accounting software
● Negotiation & presentation skills
● Excellent written, oral communication and problem-solving skills
● Must be able to function independently and handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure
● Must be willing and able to work flexible hours if required
● Must own and operate a reliable, roadworthy vehicle, hold a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record for at least 2 years.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB
● At least 80% of the role is executed in the field, travelling in order to visit stakeholders, vendors, team
members.
