Under the direction of the Registrar, the incumbent oversees record-keeping systems to foster accountability, accessibility and reliability of information produced within the organization.

 

The Ministry of Water, Environment and Climate Change is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the vacant post of Records Officer (PIDG/RIM 2) salary range $1,711,060.00 to $2,301,186.00 per annum.

 

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Maintain both manual and electronic filing systems;
  • Maintain master index of files to enhance currency;
  • Maintain official log books and registers;
  • Maintain general file collection;
  • Retrieve files as requested and replace them when returned;
  • Maintain file jackets;
  • Lock cabinets and filing room to ensure security of records;
  • Conduct frequent audits;
  • Monitor tracking systems;
  • Sort articles received for dispatch;
  • Log information relating to articles received for ease of search and retrieval.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Qualifications and Experience

  • 4 CXC / GCE Subjects inclusive of English Language together with either Mathematics or Accounts.
  • A minimum of one (1) year in records management
