This role is central to our Diagnostic Imaging Department, providing high-quality imaging services primarily in MRI, with responsibilities extending to general X-ray, CT, Mamoraphy and ultrasound as necessary.

Responsibilities of Position

• Deliver a high standard of imaging services, ensuring operational excellence across MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound modalities.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate department operations to maintain work targets and standards.
• Establish and implement safety standards to protect patients from excessive radiation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help develop department policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provide professional and technical advice to other health professionals within the facility.
• Assist in managing the Diagnostic Imaging Department, including operational assistance to the department manager.
• Educate and counsel patients on their imaging procedures and necessary preparations.
• Conduct daily checks and periodic tests on imaging equipment to ensure they meet operational safety standards.
• Manage departmental stock and ensure supplies are updated weekly.
• Maintain thorough records and reports, ensuring easy retrieval of patient information.

Qualifications and experience required:

• A Diploma or Degree in Radiography, with certification in CT imaging and MRI.
• At least three (3) years of post-qualification experience in a similar or related role.
• Certification in Medical Billing & Coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent preferred).

Experience in a managerial role or management training is desirable.
