RETAIL ENGINEER

Role Profile:

The ideal candidate must drive the improvement and further development of the company’s retail network strategy with broad duties to include:

• Assist the Senior Project Engineer in the preparation of the Capital Budget specific to customer locations annually; design specifications, Convenience Stores (C-Store) layout and maintenance in compliance with international industry codes for petroleum installations. 
• Supervise the construction and maintenance of WIOC’s retail service stations (Antigua & Barbuda and Dominica) to ensure that they consistently meet the company’s standards as well as local regulatory requirements for health, safety and environmental compliance, as well as the company’s branding guidelines.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance at commercial customer (hotels, restaurants, bakeries etc.) sites to include diesel storage/dispensing, gasoline storage/dispensing and LPG bulk storage in line with industry codes.whilst providing strategic assessments and recommendations of new product/service opportunities.
• Provide assistance with maintenance of the LPG bulk storage facility and equipment, Fuel Storage Tanks and piping systems at the WIOC’s Friars Hill Terminal, as well as the automation of these facilities in compliance with API, ASME, NFPA and NACE codes and standards.
• Manage the construction and maintenance of WIOC's retail service stations (Antigua & Barbuda and Dominica) to ensure that they consistently meet the company's as well as local regulatory requirements for safety health and environmental compliance as well as the company's branding guidelines. Design specifications should comply with international industry codes for petroleum installations.  This should also take account of Convenience Stores (C-Store), layout and maintenance as well as any other associated stores such as Clip-Ons.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance at commercial customer (hotels, restaurants, bakeries etc.) sites to include diesel storage/dispensing, gasoline storage/dispensing and LPG bulk storage in line with industry codes. 

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the petroleum industry, and in particular in the Retail Service Station segment.
• Hold a recognized certification in Project Management, and /or a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Field experience in fuel related construction projects and sound knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards and best practices.
• Certification in service station and LPG installations will be an asset.
• Strong communication skills: strong command of grammar (oral and written), assertive, clear, able to convey technical content into easy-to-understand concepts and ideas.
• Working Knowledge in all stages governing tank and pipeline construction/installation and maintenance as per API 650/653
• Working Knowledge of NFPA 52, 58 in the storage and handling of propane gas cylinders, LNG.
