We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Forwarder to manage air, ocean, and road shipments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, and thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Some Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with stakeholders and customs for safe delivery of air, ocean, and road shipments.
Arrange transport and track shipments to ensure timely arrival.
Assist with transport contracts, RFQs, tenders, and insurance matters.
Prepare and verify shipping documents (bills of lading, invoices, packing lists).
Advise clients on optimal shipping methods and routes, especially for urgent shipments.
Work with customs agents to ensure smooth clearance.
Address customer inquiries and resolve shipment issues or delays.
Qualifications and competencies
• Minimum 5 years proven work experience handling Shipping, Freight Forwarding or
Projects.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding terms and standards – must provide any
certification in training.
• Understanding of principles of accounting and financial processes.
• Effective negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in freight software or system.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle unforeseen issues.
