Salary Scale: $1,711,060.00- $2,301,186.00 per annum
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Public Health Inspector, the incumbent will be expected to:
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enter data for Food Handler’s permit for the parish.
- Prepare Health Certificate for Swimming pool, Tourist & Food Handling establishment for signage by the Medical Officer (Health).
- Prepare correspondence from the Medical Officer (Health) to the Trelawny Municipal Corporation.
- Attach, file and maintain records of inspection reports.
- Affix, seal and dispatch permits granted for licenses and certificates.
- Type letter and reports for the Inspectorate and any other duties assigned.
- Maintain logs of documents and work done.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Proactive work attitude and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle customer enquiries in a polite and professional manner.
- Ability to manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE :
- A minimum of 5 CXC’s including Mathematics and English.
- Hands on experience of computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Two (2) years’ applicable experience.
