China Harbour Engineering Comapny is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join the Kingston Port Yard Expansion Project.

Position Responsibilities:

The main duties of the position shall be included

1. Measurement and Quantity Take-off

 • Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ);

 • Measure actual quantities based on drawings and site progress.

 2. Cost Estimation and Control

 • Prepare project cost estimates and budgets;

 • Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.

 3. Progress Payment and Final Account

 • Review and certify payment applications from subcontractors and suppliers;

 • Assist in interim and final account settlement.

 4. Contract Administration

 • Assist in drafting and reviewing main and subcontract agreements;

• Monitor contract performance, compliance, and variations.

 5. Variation and Claims Management

 • Prepare and manage variation orders and claims documentation;

 • Evaluate cost impact and coordinate with relevant parties.

 6. Procurement Support

 • Participate in cost analysis and price comparison for materials, equipment, and subcontract works;

 • Support negotiation and contract evaluation processes.

 7. Coordination with Project Team

 • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, planning, and finance departments to ensure cost-related information is accurate and up to date;

 • Provide timely cost data and reports to project management.

 

Qualifications:

1. Working years:At least 3 years working experience.

2. Industry and project experience:Relevant working experience in quantity surveying, cost control, or contract management on construction or infrastructure projects; Familiar with BOQ preparation, drawing interpretation, construction workflows, and contract terms; Proficient in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Excel, MS Project, and quantity take-off tools; Practical experience in handling variations, claims, and final accounts independently; Knowledge of FIDIC contracts or prior experience on international projects is an advantage.

3. Ability and personality:Analytical, Mathematical and  Communication Skill

4. Educational requirements:Bachelor degree or above. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in science or engineering.

5. Required professional certificates:Industry related certificate.

6. Others:Have a driver's license.Be honest and work hard. Identify with the corporate culture of China Harbor, skilled in using computers and various software.Good health,with a physical examination report. no bad habits, can provide no criminal proof.
