Purchasing & Processing Assistant
KEY FUNCTIONS:
Purchasing & Processing: Preparing, approving, and processing purchase orders for supplies, materials, or services.
Vendor Management: Researching, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to get the best price and quality.
Inventory Control: Monitoring stock levels and placing reorders to prevent shortages.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of orders, invoices, and payment data.
Tracking: Ensuring deliveries arrive on time and addressing discrepancies in quality or quantity.
Key Skills:
Negotiation: Ability to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Communication: Building vendor relationships.
Analytical Skills: Comparing supplier costs and analyzing inventory needs.
Data Management: Proficiency with inventory systems
Common Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (degrees in business or supply chain are a plus).
Prior experience in procurement, logistics, or administration
