Purchasing Officer

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Purchasing Team as Purchasing Officer; the successful candidate should be flexible, be able to work on own initiative and be able to meet deadlines stipulated by the company.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Source suppliers of goods and services (globally).
• Assist in the negotiation process with suppliers to achieve preferential pricing and best credit arrangements.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationship to assist in the monitoring and evaluation of suppliers’ performance.
• Assist with preparation of the department yearly budget and forecasting.
• Monitor and manage suppliers and world market price movements.
• Prepare reports as required for timely submission.
• Prepare Requisition and Purchase Orders.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Operations/Supply Chain or Logistics Management.

• Minimum 4 years experience in a similar position.
• Experience in a purchasing role will be a distinct advantage.
