Job Title: Project Manager – Digicel Business

 

Primary objective of the job: 
 

  • The primary objective of this role is to manage the deployment of enterprise projects for both traditional and cloud solutions.
  • The Project Manager will manage internal teams and 3rd parties to deliver solutions to customers on time, within budget and to the standards of quality and functionality specified.
  • The Project Manager will assume full responsibility for the end to end delivery of the project and will manage the customers expectation at all times throughout the project lifecycle.
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for providing project status updates to both customers and senior management.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • The position will involve scoping, planning, implementing, controlling and close out of both internal and external projects.
  • Working with Sales, Pre-sales and BID Management to agree on solution design and ensure same meets the ICT team’s delivery and support capability.
  • Working with Digicel’s customers to agree the solutions scope and obtain sign off.
  • Working with both internal and external stakeholders to agree the project plan.
  • Working with stakeholders to agree pre-requisites and obtain sign off on same.
  • Controlling the implementation in terms of scope, resources, budget and quality.
  • Management reporting and Regular project status reporting.

 

Academic qualifications and experience required:

  • Sound technical understanding of Wireless and Fixed Networking and Cloud Based Services.
  • Team worker with strong business and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication interpersonal skills
  • Organized self-starter with drive and initiative
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Pressure Management- ability to deal with stress & work pressure in fast pace environment
  • Superb Customer service to internal and external customers (politeness in emails, prompt return of missed calls, responses to messages or emails)
  • Accountability- Monitors work without supervision to ensure quality is maintained
  • Follows instructions and responds to management direction
  • Strong attention to detail/ Multitasking
  • Excellent written and verbal skill; Ability to present to senior management both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays based on business or the project needs
  • Knowledge of Digicel’s systems, processes and regulatory environmen
