Job Description

RTEK Refrigeration & Airconditioning Services Ltd., a world class HVAC company operating in the Caribbean is seeking a suitable applicant for the position of Project Engineer/ Estimator.

The post of Project Engineer/ Estimator focuses on assisting with Projects, quotations, designs and drawings and overall safety, all to RTEK’s standards.

Position Requirements:

• A technical thinking candidate with a willingness to learn on the job.
• A general understanding of Project Management principles, procedures, and practices.
• The ability to follow instructions.
• To read and understand technical drawings.
• Managing small projects would be an asset.
• To assist in the preparation of bids/proposals/tenders.
• Good computer skills and proficient in the use of MS Office, MS Project, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, and Revit would be and additional asset.
• Assist in preparation of reports.
• Follow all the company and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or related discipline, however, applicants with an Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution may be considered.

• Work experience in a similar position would be an asset.
• Good organisation and time management skills.
• Be a self-motivator.
• Experience in cost management and construction estimating.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to estimate project costs accurately.
• Experience in budgeting.
• Attention to detail.
• An understanding of general safety regulations in a project environment.
