What We Need

About the role

The Project Coordinator will provide essential support for the delivery of a significant program, ensuring that all components and deliverables are effectively coordinated to achieve program objectives, customer satisfaction, and financial targets. The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager in managing activities across the program to support revenue generation and maintain profitability.

 

Critical to success in this role will be the alignment with and implementation of standardized processes, maintenance of accurate documentation, and coordination of tasks related to planning, communications, risk management, and financial tracking. This position also requires the role holder to be a highly organized and proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple priorities and facilitate seamless execution across all phases of the project.

Key responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of program activities, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations under the guidance of the Program Manager.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
  • Manage assigned work packages and activities, contributing to the delivery of contractual obligations and program milestones.
  • Facilitate scheduling, risk tracking, and scope change management, escalating issues to minimize disruption and maintain delivery integrity.
  • Provide administrative and governance support, including documentation, reporting, and coordination with the Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Prepare and deliver regular project updates, reviews, and stakeholder presentations in accordance with assurance and governance frameworks.
  • Monitor implementation schedules, deliverable acceptance processes, and Steering Committee decisions to assess and communicate impact on program execution.
  • Support change bid processes and ensure adherence to contractual procedures and organizational policies.
  • Promote knowledge sharing by contributing to lessons learned and best practices across teams and projects.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for the Executive, prioritizing and filtering incoming issues, and managing communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the executive and stakeholders, ensuring alignment, engagement, and seamless information flow.

Key qualifications and experience

  • 1-3 years work experience within an Information Technology services environment and/ or Project Management team.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Information Technology related area of study.         
  • Completion of Project Management courses leading to qualification for PMI® Certification (e.g. - PMI CaPM, Project Management Fundamentals etc.) will be considered an asset.                                            

 

Key attributes

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • High level conceptual understanding of Information Technology domains (e.g. - desktop, server, security, network, apps etc.).
  • Strong planning, scheduling, communication and customer facing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency in JIRA
