Production Worker

Assists in producing, bottling, and packaging pepper sauces while maintaining strict hygiene, safety, and quality standards.

Position Summary:

The Production Worker is responsible for assisting in the efficient and hygienic production of Bertie Steuart Sauces T&T Ltd.’s pepper sauces, ensuring the production process meets quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ingredient Handling: Sort, stem, and wash peppers and other produce.
• Sauce Production: Follow procedures to blend sauces and fill bottles, ensuring correct capping, coding, and labeling.
• Packaging: Build boxes and prepare packaging materials.
• Sanitation: Clean and sanitize bottles, utensils, workstations, and containers.
• Safety & Reporting: Follow safety protocols, report maintenance issues, and complete shift documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy items.
• Previous food production experience is a plus.
• 5 CXC Passes would be a benefit but is not required
