Position Summary
The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and executing efficient production schedules to ensure that finished goods are delivered on time, in full, and to required quality standards. The incumbent will consolidate demand signals, validate material availability, and generate optimized production plans that drive operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and support overall business performance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Consolidate sales forecasts, confirmed orders, and inventory levels to determine production requirements
• Analyze demand patterns and prioritize production based on urgency, volume, and customer commitments
• Develop detailed production schedules, including batch planning and line allocation
• Optimize production sequencing to improve efficiency and reduce downtime and changeovers
• Balance production capacity with delivery timelines and service level targets
• Create and manage production orders within ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules in response to operational changes
• Generate requirements reports to support procurement and inventory planning
• Coordinate with procurement and materials teams to confirm stock availability and delivery timelines
• Adjust production plans proactively based on material shortages or delays
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with sanitation and quality standards
• Work closely with Maintenance teams to incorporate planned maintenance activities
• Present production plans for approval to key stakeholders and ensure alignment with operational requirements
• Communicate finalized schedules to relevant departments and provide updates on changes or risks
• Support execution through continuous monitoring, coordination, and problem resolution

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experiences in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in FMCG or high-volume production environments is considered an asset

Skills & Competencies
• Strong analytical ability to assess demand, capacity, and inventory requirements
• Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning tools
• Solid understanding of inventory management, bill of materials (BOMs), and production workflows
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to operational changes
• High attention to detail in planning, reporting, and data management
• Strong communication and coordination skills across multiple departments
• Effective time management with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Data-driven and proactive approach to improving planning accuracy and operational efficiency
