To develop and coordinate production schedules that align with both export and local market demands, ensuring efficient use of resources, timely order fulfilment and optimal stock levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Input all export orders and local requirements into the production planning spreadsheet and ensure timely updates and revisions.
  2. Convert production needs from both local and export markets into a weekly production schedule, using a 1–2 week planning horizon and incorporating a 3-week horizon for slow-moving items.
  3. Conduct daily reviews of production performance and adjust the weekly schedule as required to maintain operational efficiency.
  4. Review product stock levels using daily internal and local distribution stock sheets and schedule required products (SKUs) into the production plan to prevent stockouts.
  5. Coordinate closely with the Warehouse and Export teams to ensure container fulfillment and shipping timelines are met, enabling consistent on-time delivery of orders.
  6. Monitor daily production output against planned targets and make necessary adjustments.
  7. Communicate consistently with the Production supervisory team on the requirements of the production schedule.
  8. Provide on-call support for the production supervisors regarding operational challenges or unforeseen issues that may necessitate schedule adjustments.
  9. Communicate any changes to schedule based on operational challenges or unforeseen issues to management and Production supervisory team.
  10. Prepare Productivity reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • BSc. Industrial Engineering / Process Engineering

 or  

Certificate or Diploma in Operation Management, Production Planning or Supply Chain Management 

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience
