To support the production department in managing the logistics and organization of production processes, ensuring activities run smoothly and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Co-ordinating the production activities with the supervisory team to ensure production
schedules are met to satisfy customer demands and deadlines.
• Ensures that the production team is aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities.
• Interact with Production Planning to determine schedules for shift production to ensure
the manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Maintain visible lead (shopfloor presence) for adherence to procedures and instructions.
• Measure and monitor the waste management system.
• Lead the investigations into non-conformances / customer complaints and action closure.
• Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on the relevant
systems (system completion or log sheets) as compliance reviews.
• Identifying and resolving production issues to minimize downtime and optimize
production efficiency.
• Performs regular inspections of the production plant to ensure plant is maintained in a
clean, safe and sanitary condition.
● Train as an alternate for the Production Supervisor and Production Planner positions.
● Supervise production shifts in the absence of the Production Supervisor and Chargehand.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor level in Business, Engineering or a related field
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a similar capacity.
