We are seeking a driven, effective and strategic individual to join the Retail Operations Department as Product & Training Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating, implementing and supervising training programs that meet company standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that a system is in place for products to be delivered to customers at the required standard.
  • Ensure all employees are trained in the proper methods for handling, preparing, storing and serving new products.
  • Conduct product verification for all leaders and monitor training for all staff.
  • Arrange retraining for all team members and leaders who are not meeting performance levels in product procedures.
  • Enforce the use of standard operating procedures in all Retail outlets.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all leaders, including kitchen leaders.
  • Demonstrate patience and positive attitudes with all levels of staff.
  • Review product data on a monthly basis and submit report to Management.
  • Create, revise and enhance training programs for Retail Operations.
  • Organize and facilitate on-going training programs such as food safety, customer service and operational training to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees.
  • Implement on-boarding processes to effectively train new team members.
  • Create training materials, manuals, videos and other resources to support training initiatives and ensure consistency across locations.
  • Ensure every employee receives the necessary training and complies with industry regulations, health and safety standards and company policies.
  •  Identify potential leaders and implement leadership development initiatives, to support their growth and advancement within the company.

 

Required Qualification & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 3-5 years leadership experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Certification in training and development would be a distinct advantage.

 

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of good sanitation & hygiene standards and practices.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
