Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Revenue Operations and Payment team in the capacity of:

 

 

 

Premium Suspense Assistant (Contract)

 

 

 

Process transfer and refund of payment from Premium Suspense Account in an accurate and timely manner to ensure client satisfaction and the achievement of the Department’s goals and objective.

 

 

Location: Kingston

 

As a Premium Suspense Assistant, you will:

 

  • Monitor aging policy suspense reports and clear policy suspense balances according to procedural guidelines.
  • Check computer records for client information.
  • Contact clients to verify payment received.
  • Apply money to policy number identified or refund as appropriate.
  • Prepare letters for client/deducting authorities advising them to discontinue payment to Sagicor and letter with cheques are sent to the client/Company.
  • Contact advisor to assist with the location of client or allocation of payment.
  • Assist with client (internal and external) requests to move money between policies and action disbursements where necessary.
  • Prepare journal voucher, cheque requisition or action form as appropriate.
  • Prepare monthly report on transactions processed.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

 

  • Six (6) subjects at the GCE (Ordinary) or CXC (General Proficiency) level, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Relevant Life Office Management Association (LOMA) I and II designations are assets.
  • Two (2) years working experience including one (1) year in an operations division of a life insurance company.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet, word processing applications and Life Admin Systems.
  • Excellent human relations and time management skills.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies and processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
