Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Revenue Operations and Payment team in the capacity of:

 

 

 

Maintenance Assistant – Returned Payments

 

 

Process all third-party and manual voucher return cheques within the Insurance Operations Administration Department,.

 

Ensure all transaction relating to return payments (cheques and EFT) are accurately completed and dispatched to respective area(s).

 

 

Location: Kingston

 

As a Maintenance Assistant – Returned Payments, you will:

 

  • Process all returned cheques and debit memoranda received from Finance.
  • Return bounced cheques to client.
  • Input all Manual PAP Voucher cheques.
  • Respond to all inquiries regarding return payments, voids and deletions in a timely manner.
  • Reverse monthly voids/deletions received from the third-party partners.
  • Prepare a monthly activity report for submission to the supervisor.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

 

  • Six (6) subjects at the GCE (Ordinary) or CXC (General Proficiency) level, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Relevant Life Office Management Association (LOMA) I and II designations are assets.
  • One (1) year working experience in the Life Insurance industry.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet, word processing applications and Life Admin Systems.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of financial and accounting regulations and standards.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal/human relations skills.
  • Sound knowledge of insurance products, processes, and procedures.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Working knowledge of local Data Privacy Acts.
