Job Summary:
The Post-Op Specialist is responsible forproviding guidance and support to patients after their surgical procedures based on the clients standards and ensuring a successful recovery. Support to our emergency hotline is also offered.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists patients in evaluating them for their appropriate surgical procedure(s)
Reviews patient’s medical and health history to determine pre-admission testing
Schedules appropriate medical and cardiac clearances
Schedules patients for follow-up appointments and tests
Coordinates with clinical staff to gather information for all patients
Codes information from physicians about procedures performed
Assesses no further testing or additional clearances are needed
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Internal and external customer service orientation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Education and Experience:
Must be in their 4th year of nursing school or already a licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
Must have completes Labs and Clinical already if still in school
Social Media Savvy
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Plastic surgery knowledge preferred
HIPPA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer and answering multiple phone calls per day
Travel Requirements:
Be able to commute to and from the site.
