Portfolio Market Development Manager
Main Purpose of Job:
The Portfolio Market Development Manager will lead strategic market development initiatives, overseeing brand strategy, product portfolio management, pricing optimization, and market expansion efforts. The incumbent will drive integrated marketing campaigns, innovation, digital marketing, including the use of AI in marketing strategies, while fostering team collaboration and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Brand Management
- Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and relevance across all touchpoints.
- Monitor brand performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer insights and market trends.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
- Conduct portfolio analysis to optimize product mix and maximize profitability.
- Identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation to meet evolving consumer needs.
- Work closely with Innovation, production, and sales teams to bring new products to market successfully.
Pricing Strategy & Analysis
- Develop pricing strategies to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
- Conduct pricing analysis and evaluate pricing models to optimize revenue.
- Monitor pricing trends and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain market leadership.
Market Development & Distribution
- Identify and evaluate market opportunities for expansion.
- Develop distribution strategies to penetrate new markets and channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors and retail partners to ensure effective distribution and availability of products.
- Formulate and execute digital marketing strategies to support market development goals, including customer acquisition.
- Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with creative agencies to develop compelling marketing assets and content.
- Monitor campaign performance and ROI and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and inspire a team of marketing professionals to achieve departmental goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the marketing team.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters' degree in Marketing, Management or a related field.
- At least seven (7) years of experience in marketing, with at least three (3) years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven strategic brand management experience particularly within FMCG marketing and distribution.
- Extensive experience using Power BI.
- Previous experience within the Alcoholic Beverages Industry preferred.
- Familiarity with the carbonated drink market, including production and distribution dynamics.

- Strong expertise in digital marketing, branding, and strategic planning.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in marketing automation, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and drive business decisions.
