Portfolio Manager - Consumer

The Portfolio Manager - Consumer develop and execute strategies for the consumer product portfolio to achieve growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.

Core Functions

• Develop and execute strategies for the consumer product portfolio to achieve growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.

• Monitor portfolio performance against financial and customer metrics, recommending adjustments as needed.

• Develop governance protocols and document policies to guide sound oversight of the product portfolio.

• Lead the design, launch, and continuous improvement of consumer banking products (deposits, secured and unsecured loans, lines of credit, mortgages).

• Support the bank’s customer segmentation strategy by ensuring that the consumer product portfolio aligns with the distinct needs, behaviours, and value propositions of each segment.

• Ensure products meet customer needs, regulatory standards, and align with the bank’s digital transformation goals.

• Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for innovation.

• Ensure all products comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.

• Track and report on portfolio profitability, quality, revenue growth, and cost efficiency.

• Drive initiatives that integrate digital solutions into consumer products to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or any other related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, PMP) is an asset.

• Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in product management, portfolio management or related roles within banking or financial services.

• Proven track record in developing and managing consumer banking products (e.g., loans, deposits).

• Experience with digital banking solutions and customer-centric product design.
