Business Development Officer

Under the direction of the Marketing and Engagement Manager, the Business Development Officer is responsible for driving membership growth, savings mobilisation, and loan portfolio expansion while strengthening member relationships and promoting the Credit Union’s products and services.

Main Responsibilities

• Actively manage an assigned portfolio to achieve membership, savings, and loan targets
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key member groups, affiliates, and extended bond members
• Promote and recommend appropriate Credit Union products and services based on member needs
• Provide member education and enhance awareness of Credit Union offerings
• Track, manage, and follow up on business leads and referrals
• Operate the Credit Union’s Mobile Unit according to scheduled locations
•  Maintain accurate records and reports on business development activities
• Ensure compliance with POCA, AML/CFT, KYE, and internal policies
• Represent the Credit Union professionally and positively at all times

The Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in marketing or sales in a financial institution.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Results-driven with strong planning and organisational skills
• Required to work beyond normal working hours
• Valid General Driver's Licence
