Job Title: Planning Assistant

Location: South Trinidad
Employment Type: Contract

Reports To: Planning Manager / Project Planner


Job Summary

The Planning Assistant supports the planning and scheduling functions of the organization by assisting with project plans, schedules, data tracking, and reporting. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to support the planning team in ensuring projects are executed efficiently and on schedule.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and updating of project schedules and plans
  • Collect, organize, and analyze project data to support planning activities
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, timelines, and milestones
  • Prepare reports, charts, and presentations for management and project teams
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure schedule compliance and timely updates
  • Assist in monitoring resource allocation and project timelines
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the planning department
  • Ensure all planning documentation is properly maintained and filed

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Prior experience in planning, project coordination, or scheduling is an advantage
  • Familiarity with project planning and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and support multiple tasks

Working Conditions

  • Office-based role with occasional field visits depending on project requirements
  • Standard working hours with potential for overtime based on project deadlines
