Pension Analyst

The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete membership records, calculating and reconciling all pension plan contributions, and providing administrative support to his/her assigned company supervisor by preparing all pension reports and data required by both internal and external parties.

Duties of the position include:

• Maintaining accurate and complete membership records
• Ensuring plan booklets are updated and disseminated to all members as required.
• Researching and responding to queries from in-house and external parties.
• Conducting sample checks on annual statements of pension benefits (ASBPS), statements of accounts, and pension fund statements
• Assisting with the compilation of valuation data
• Ensuring all contractual documents are up-to-date.
• Preparing monthly status reports on new enrollments, terminated members and benefit payments
• Communicating with payroll on plan adjustments
• Monitoring member queries ensuring member concerns are addressed by the appropriate party

Qualification and Experience:

• Associate’s Degree in Mathematics/Accounting
• Three (3) years’ administrative experience
• Two (2) or more years with Financial Industry Experience an asset
