Position Summary
The Wellness Center Clinics (TWC) is a multidisciplinary medical, behavioral health, and vision organization in the Virgin Islands committed to whole-person wellness. The Pediatric Occupational Therapist is a cornerstone of our commitment to children and families in the Virgin Islands. In this role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based occupational therapy services to children from birth through adolescence, helping them build the functional skills they need to thrive at home, in school, and in their communities. This role supports TWC's Live Well Framework through clinical excellence, family-centered care, meaningful collaboration, and a deep respect for the whole child.
The ideal candidate brings not only clinical skill but also warmth, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine passion for walking alongside children and families on their wellness journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for children, evaluating sensory processing, fine/gross motor skills, self-care, and cognition.
Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans rooted in evidence-based practice (e.g., sensory integration, fine motor development, ADLs).
Provide direct therapy services for children with diagnoses including ASD, developmental delays, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders.
Engage families as active partners, providing education, coaching, and home program strategies.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and TWC policies.
Collaborate with referring physicians and the TWC multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, whole-child care.
Qualifications
Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT, OTD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapy license in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction, with eligibility for licensure in the British Virgin Islands.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric occupational therapy.
Knowledge & Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of child development and pediatric conditions, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and cultural humility.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, occassional Saturdays.
