The Paint Technician will be responsible for providing technical guidance, sales support, and customer service for paint and coating products.

Position Summary

The Paint Technician will be responsible for providing technical guidance, sales support, and customer service for paint and coating products.
The role combines technical knowledge, client interaction, and internal coordination, while working closely with management and approved suppliers.

A paint technician is responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings to ensure high-quality finishes in various industries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide technical advice and support on paint and coating products sales
2. Assist sales team and clients with:
1. product selection
2. Specifications
3. application methods
3. Support preparation of:
1. quotations
2. technical documents
3. project-related information
4. Liaise internally with management on ongoing projects
5. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
6. Maintain professional relationships with contractors and customers
7. Work within established company procedures and reporting structures

8. Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and mask surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion.

   Mixing and Application: Mix paints and apply primers, paints, and finishes using spray guns and other tools, adhering to safety and quality standards.

   Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and color accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.

   Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on painting equipment and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.

   Collaboration: Work with team members to optimize paint application processes and improve production efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Experience

1. Work Experience in paint sales, coatings, construction materials, or a related field is required.

2. Strong computer literacy
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work independently and responsibly
5. Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Preferred Attributes

1. Based in or familiar with the Central / South area
2. Tertiary Level Education and qualification will be an asset
3. Project Management Skills and Experience will be an asset
4. Practical, mature, and reliable
5. Comfortable dealing with contractors, architects, and clients
6. Understands professional boundaries and confidentiality

Work Schedule (6 days per week)

1. Monday–Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
2. Saturday: 8:00am – 2:00pm

1. Salary: Negotiable
