PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

The public relations manager will be heavily involved in both internal communications and media relations and will be instrumental in the resort’s community outreach activities.

Specific requirements/duties of the position include

• Strong understanding of Public Relations
• The ability to identify and pursue media opportunities and sell stories to local and regional media
• Strong writing skills with the ability to capitalise on media opportunities from new  and existing activities
• Being highly organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously
• The ability to coordinate events and logistics for international press visits and/or video and photo shoots
• The ability to work with the wider resort team to execute PR-driven events and other activities
• Creating and executing Sandals Foundation activities
• Assisting with the planning of guest-related resort activities

Qualification/Experience

• Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
• Minimum two years’ experience in Public Relations, Hospitality or related field
• Ability to work flexible hours and to deadlines
• Proficient in MS Office and other related programmes
• Ambition, drive and a pleasant personality are a must
