PSYCHIATRIC NURSING AIDES (HSC/HS 5)

HANOVER HEALTH SERVICES

Salary Range: $1,792,163- $2,130,319 (per annum)

The incumbent will assist in providing the mentally ill or emotionally disturbed patients with their physical, emotional, psychological or rehabilitative care.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains records of the patients’ condition and activities such as weight and blood pressure

• Conducts health educational sessions and assists with organizing patients for clinics

• Assists with the setting of appointments and reminding patients of their appointments which may cause rescheduling of appointments

• Assists with de-escalation techniques as required

• Provides mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed patients with routine physical, emotional, psychological or rehabilitative care

• Monitors patients and reports abnormal behaviours in patients
