We're hiring an Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the movement of goods in and out of the hardware. This includes managing inventory, purchasing, quality control, deliveries, and ensuring the warehouse is properly stocked and efficiently run. The role requires coordinating with suppliers, supervising staff, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. The Operations Manager also implements process improvements, ensures compliance, and plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee all operational aspects, including warehouse, store, logistics, procurement, and maintenance.

  • Develop and implement operational systems, processes, and best practices to support efficiency.

  • Monitor and report on KPIs to drive operational performance.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management:

  • Manage stock levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.

  • Oversee purchasing and vendor relations to ensure quality and timely delivery.

  • Conduct inventory audits and implement loss prevention strategies.

Team Supervision:

  • Lead and support the warehouse team and related departments.

  • Create schedules, assign tasks, and ensure proper shift coverage.

  • Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance.

Customer Service & Store Operations:

  • Maintain high customer service standards in-store and in deliveries.

  • Address operational and customer issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams.

Health, Safety & Environment:

  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and internal safety protocols.

  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of all workspaces.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Prepare reports on performance, inventory, and costs.

  • Analyze data and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Cross-Department Coordination:

  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, and Sales teams.

  • Support strategic planning and expansion projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.

  • At least three years’ experience in a similar or equivalent role.

  • Background in Warehouse & Logistics Management, Accounting, or Inventory Control is an asset.

  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in inventory systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site role with standard business hours; flexibility required during peak periods.
