Our client, a reputable organization within the Energy Sector, located in Port of Spain, is seeking to onboard experienced Accounting Professionals on a contract basis.

 

Job 1-Treasury Coordinator

Job Objective:

To support the Treasury Manager in overseeing cash management, banking operations, and treasury controls while supervising a team of Treasury Analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of Treasury Analysts, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.

• Coordinate and review daily cash management activities, including liquidity tracking and accurate and timely processing of all Company payments, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

• Assist in preparing weekly/monthly cash forecasts, funding plans, and treasury reports.

• Support the preparation of intercompany funding requests and partner cash calls.

• Manage relationships with banking partners for account operations and issue resolutions.

• Oversee banking documentation and mandates, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Support continuous improvement of treasury policies, systems, including automation of manual processes.

• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in management/accounting or a related field.

• 5-7 years’ experience in Corporate Treasury, Banking or Financial Services

• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or team leader experience.

• Knowledge of cash management, forecasting, liquidity reporting, and reconciliation

• Experience using SAP is desirable.

Job 2- Treasury Analyst

Job Objective:

To support the efficient execution of daily Treasury operations, ensuring accurate cash management, timely payment processing, and strong internal controls.

 

Roles / Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily cash management activities including payments, receipts, and intercompany transfers.
  • Perform daily bank account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of unreconciled items.
  • Manage petty cash disbursements, replenishments, and related documentation.
  • Maintain bank account records, including supporting the opening/closure of accounts, managing signatories, and ensuring compliance with internal and banking requirements.
  • Monitor and validate FX rates in SAP within defined tolerance levels.
  • Prepare and distribute Treasury reports (e.g. daily cash positions, weekly cash flow forecasts, cash calls).
  • Support Accounting with unreconciled bank items and provide required bank statements and transaction details.
  • Ensure payment compliance and support internal stakeholders with payment-related inquiries.
  • Maintain organized records of Treasury transactions, bank correspondence, and policy documentation.
  • Assist with Treasury projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Follow-up on internal requests regarding payments in process.
  • Responsible for payment instruments (cash, cheques) in the department including preparing. deposit slips, distributing and receiving cash to/from employees.
  • Filing & retrieval of documents: payment documents, bank correspondence, internal reports
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for the Treasury Manager/Treasury HQ: weekly bank reports, cash call, cashflow forecast.
  • Any other projects or services as may be required by the Company.

 

Job Specifications / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management/Accounting or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Treasury or Banking.
  • Experience in bank account maintenance, AML/KYC
  • Experience using ERP systems (e.g. SAP) is desirable.
  • Exposure to cash management, payment processing and FX monitoring is important.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with banking portals and online payment systems.
  • Knowledge of cash forecasting, liquidity reporting, and reconciliation tools.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
  • Time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment..
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to assess complex situations, determining when escalation is necessary to resolve challenges effectively and uphold service standards.
  • Accountable: Must be willing to take responsibility for completing all assigned tasks.

Job 3-COST CONTROLLER

Job Objective:

The Cost Controller monitors expenditure and ensures the accurate recording of expenses. The incumbent works in conjunction with the various departments to ensure proper alignment between costs recorded and activities performed by vendors/suppliers.

 Responsibilities:

  • Prepares the necessary SAP MM documents for vendors in coordination with department managers and relevant process owners (Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), Service Orders (SO) and Service Entry Sheets (SES)).
  • Ensures strict adherence to the invoice/requisition workflow process.
  • Provides coordination with both internal and external clients to ensure that all expenses/invoicing processes can be controlled and monitored effectively.
  • Prepares contract analyses which includes but is not limited to ensuring correct account assignments, distinguishing between fixed and variable components, invoiced vs commitment costs etc.
  • Ensures expenses are recorded with the appropriate account assignments.
  • Prepares monthly accruals for the activities in the department(s) in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepares monthly reallocations to ensure accurate reporting of activities.
  • Prepares the Forecast and annual Budget based on the relevant inputs from the individual departments.
  • Prepares cost analyses which includes budgetary variance analysis to facilitate monthly reporting.

Job Qualifications:

  • Business Management degree or equivalent tertiary education qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years’ work experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a similar position.
  • Thorough understanding of cost control and budgeting procedures.
  • Previous experience working with SAP and Microsoft office tools.
