Job Summary:
The incumbent filling this role will be responsible for ensuring the consistent cleanliness, order, and hygiene of the Company’s head office facilities. The role supports a professional and welcoming office environment by maintaining all assigned areas — including offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, and common spaces — in accordance with Company standards for cleanliness and safety.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and Sanitation
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and polishes floors in offices, corridors, and common areas.
- Dusts and wipes down desks, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Empties and sanitizes waste bins and ensures timely removal of garbage.
- Cleans and restocks restrooms with necessary supplies (soap, tissue, paper towels, etc.).
- Cleans kitchenettes, lunch areas, and staff break rooms, including appliances and counters.
- Washes / shines interior glass surfaces, doors, and partitions as required.
2. Facility Care and Support
- Monitors and promptly reports maintenance or safety issues (e.g., leaks, faulty lighting, damaged fixtures) to the Office Assistant / Compliance Manager.
- Assists with minor office arrangements, such as setting up for meetings.
- Ensures cleaning tools, materials, and chemicals are properly used and safely stored after each shift.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of cleaning and restroom supplies and informs the Office Assistant of replenishment needs.
3. Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Follows all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including the safe use of cleaning materials and PPE.
- Adheres to Company policies and procedures regarding confidentiality, professionalism, and conduct in the workplace.
- Participates in training related to safety, sanitation, or emergency procedures as required.
- Performs other job-related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Secondary School education or equivalent.
Experience:
- At least one (1) to two (2) years’ experience in a janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial role, preferably in an office environment.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and complete tasks according to schedule.
- Physical ability to perform manual cleaning duties and lift light to moderate loads.
- Working knowledge of modern cleaning practices, materials, and equipment.
- Familiarity with safe handling of cleaning agents and chemicals.
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily conducted indoors within an office environment.
- May be exposed to cleaning materials and disinfectants.
Standard hours apply, with occasional early morning or evening shifts as required.
