Occupational Health Manager
The Occupational Health Manager is responsible for leading all safety, compliance, and facilities operations across distribution centres, warehouses, and sales offices. This role ensures safe warehouse practices, regulatory compliance, infrastructure reliability, asset protection, and operational continuity in a fast-paced FMCG distribution environment.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Develop and implement an integrated Safety & Facilities strategy aligned with operational requirements, including risk management and business continuity planning for all facilities.
- Partner with Distribution Centre leaders to drive a culture of safety ownership while planning for infrastructure upgrades, compliance improvements, and operational growth.
Warehouse Safety & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation through warehouse safety programmes, hazard identification, and oversight of fire safety and emergency response systems.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, investigate incidents, and maintain regulatory compliance documentation for audits and inspections.
Facilities & Infrastructure Management (Distribution Centres & Offices)
- Oversee preventive maintenance and infrastructure management across warehouses and offices to ensure asset preservation, operational efficiency, and safe working conditions.
- Conduct site audits, monitor utilities and facility performance, and collaborate with security and operations teams to maintain safe and productive environments.
Budgeting and Contractor Management
- Develop and manage the Safety & Facilities operating budget, including CAPEX planning for infrastructure improvements and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Manage third-party contractors and service providers, ensuring adherence to safety standards, service level agreements, and quality of work delivered.
People and Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the Safety and Facilities team while establishing clear KPIs aligned with compliance, operational uptime, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain strong partnerships with operational leaders and promote accountability for safety and facilities management across all sites.

Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, or related field.
- 5–8+ years' experience in warehouse, distribution, or industrial facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations and warehouse compliance standards.
- Experience managing multi-site operations.
- Proven budget and contractor management experience.
- Strong analytical and reporting capability.
- Certification in OSHA / NEBOSH / ISO Safety standards
- Must be able to travel islandwide
- Must own/operate a reliable motor vehicle
