Occupational Health Officer

The Occupational Health Officer supports the daily execution of safety, compliance, and facilities operations across assigned Distribution Centres (DCs) and sales offices. This role plays a hands-on operational role in ensuring warehouse safety standards, building maintenance reliability, regulatory compliance, and a safe working environment for warehouse and sales teams. 

Job Responsibilities

Warehouse Safety Execution & Monitoring

  • Conduct routine safety walkthroughs across warehouse operations, including storage areas, picking zones, and loading bays, ensuring compliance with safety standards, proper stacking, housekeeping, and equipment use.
  • Monitor forklift operations, racking integrity, PPE compliance, and emergency readiness while supporting incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate safety records, inspection logs, compliance documentation, and track corrective actions arising from audits or incident investigations.
  • Monitor safety KPIs, maintain emergency preparedness documentation, and support safety briefings, drills, and internal or external audits.

Facilities Operations Support

  • Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance, structural, or environmental risks that may impact operations or stock integrity.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests, contractor activities, pest control, and housekeeping services while maintaining asset and equipment records.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field. 
  • 2–5 years experience in warehouse, industrial, or distribution environment. 
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices. 
  • Experience coordinating maintenance contractors. 
  • Strong documentation and follow-up discipline. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment. 
  • Must be able to travel between all locations
  • Must own/operate a reliable motor vehicle
